Cast of Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Lioness’ party backstage at Chris Stapleton’s Arlington concert

The cast of Taylor Sheridan’s “Lioness” took a break from filming in Fort Worth to attend a Chris Stapleton concert in Arlington over the weekend.

“Lioness” season 2 has been filming in and around Fort Worth since last month, with stars Zoe Saldana, Nicole Kidman and Morgan Freeman all in town. The spy action-thriller series was created by Sheridan for Paramount+.

Actor LaMonica Garrett, who plays Tucker on “Lioness,” shared a snap on social media of the cast backstage with Stapleton before his Arlington concert at Globe Life Field.

Several castmates made the photo, including Saldana, Jill Wagner, Laysla De Oliveira, Jonah Wharton, Genesis Rodriguez, Thad Luckinbill and Austin Hébert.

Stapleton performed over two dozen songs at the two-hour and 15 minute concert in Arlington.

The Star-Telegram reviewed Stapleton’s concert, saying that the “Tennessee Whiskey” singer and band were in “flawless fighting form.” It’s safe to say the “Lioness” crew enjoyed the show too.

Rodriguez, one of the show’s stars, took to social media after the concert sharing her praises.

“So obsessed with everyone in ‘Lioness’ like literally,” Rodriguez told her 841,000 followers. “Also, Chris Stapleton fan here … still thinking of his voice. And his sound.”

“Lioness” premiered its first season on Paramount+ in July 2023.

A second season was ordered by the streamer earlier this year and production kicked off in Fort Worth in May. No release date has been announced for “Lioness” season 2, but whenever it arrives, it will land on Paramount+.
