'Detroit' Sign Brings a Touch of Hollywood to Motor City Ahead of NFL Draft

A new “Hollywood-style” sign has been installed in Detroit ahead of the NFL draft taking place in the city later in April.

The sign was installed along Interstate 94 east of downtown. Each letter is eight feet tall and is mounted on a concrete block, the City of Detroit said. “Detroit’s new Gateway sign will welcome residents and visitors to the city,” the city said.

The city will also have five smaller Detroit signs, according to local news.
