UK baseball in NCAA Tournament

The University of Kentucky baseball team opens NCAA Tournament play noon Friday against Western Michigan in the Lexington Regional at Kentucky Proud Park. Game times for UK for the double elimination tourney, which could run through Monday, depend on how the Cats do in their games. UK’s first game will be on TV on the SEC Network and tickets can be purchased at UKBaseballTix.com.

Great American Brass Band Festival in Danvile

The Great American Brass Band Festival runs through June 1 on the campus of Centre College and in downtown Danville. The family-friendly free event features a 5K, parade, food, market and of course lots of music with brass band music taking center stage. gabbf.org
