Gypsy Rose Blanchard is addressing the timing of her pregnancy.

On July 9, the Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup star, 32, and her ex-fiancé-turned-current boyfriend Ken Urker announced that they're expecting their first child together. Blanchard then spoke to PEOPLE about the news over Zoom — just a few hours after revealing she was pregnant in a tearful YouTube video.

"I'm going through a divorce," Blanchard says of her split from Ryan Anderson, whom she married in 2022. [She filed for divorce in April.] "Timing is not was not where we wanted it to be. However, this is a blessing and I take it in stride and move forward with it and I couldn't be happier. It's kind of, like, wrong timing, but it's a blessing. So we're happy."

Blanchard and Urker rekindled their relationship after having previously been engaged while Blanchard was incarcerated for her role in the murder of her mother Dee Dee Blanchard. After two years, the couple broke off their engagement in 2019. Blanchard was released in December 2023,

While discussing a scene from the latest episode of Life After Lockup in which Blanchard takes a morning-after pill, Blanchard says, "At the time, with everything going on with me and Ryan and the instability of our marriage, it wasn't the right time for me then." She then added, "And I'm not even saying right now is the right time."
