Mayor Canniff and Glasshouse Nursery launch ‘Growing Together’

Mayor Canniff and Glasshouse Nursery have teamed up again to launch the much-anticipated "Growing Together" program, celebrating community greenery and creativity.

Until July 13, citizens are encouraged to nominate the green wonders in their neighbourhoods that enhance the community's beauty. These garden gems will be reviewed by local beautification and horticultural committees, who will score them based on their beauty and innovation.

Thanks to the generous support of Glasshouse Nursery, the winning gardens will receive a gift certificate to fuel their gardening passions and a special garden sign declaring their excellence.

"I am beyond excited to see the creativity and dedication of our community's gardeners on display once again. Let's make this year's Growing Together program the greenest one yet!" said Mayor Canniff.

Glasshouse Nursery added, "We are proud to sponsor the Growing Together program and to support our community's love for gardening."

In collaboration with local cultural and beautification committees, this year's theme is ORANGE, inspired by Ontario Communities in Bloom. Local community groups and the municipality will incorporate orange in their garden designs. Citizens are encouraged to infuse their gardens with this vibrant hue, creating a colourful and joyful community oasis.
